The IT Paradigmologist
DevOps brought Agile’s value proposition closer to the users by speeding up deployment (and more!). Yet no value is realized until the users actually use well-conceived systems well. This is often the weakest link, so we need to extend our reach. The title ‘Kill DevOps’ refers to an ancient Zen saying about a monk’s journey towards enlightenment and awakening. If you think that you’ve found it, think again, because you never will. It’s the same with DevOps: it’s about continuous experimentation and learning. The talk also covers multidisciplinary collaboration and ‘selling’ DevOps to senior executives. After this session you’ll be able to apply the good stuff in DevOps, such as the Three Ways, to improve the collaboration between IT, the business and customers, resulting in a better return on the business’ investment in IT.
